Data
All data related to movies, TV shows, episodes, cast, crew, characters, and companies contained in the Open Film Database (OFDb)—such as titles, release dates, plot descriptions, credits, names, and addresses—is licensed under Open Database License (ODbL).
This license does not extend to:
- User account data, such as usernames, email addresses, or other information related to registered users, which is not part of the licensed film/TV show database.
- External content referenced by links, such as posters, or PDF documents. The OFDb only stores a URL pointing to such external resources; it does not host or license the linked content itself. That content remains subject to the copyright of its respective rights holders.
Code
The theme code of this website is released under the GPLv3 or later, and available on Codeberg.
Drupal, serving as a CMS for the OFDb, and all modules in use, are released under the GPLv2 or later.
Libraries that are used might be released under a different license. See JavaScript licenses for more information.
Static pages, blog & wiki
Static pages such as “About” or “Privacy policy”, blog posts and wiki articles are published under the Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC BY-SA 4.0).
Copyright infringement
All data is added by user submissions. While there are guidelines concerning copyright in our wiki, there may be mistakes. If there seems to be a copyright infringement, please let us know by sending an email to legal@ofdb.cc, and we will attend the matter. If there is a copyright violation, the data will be removed immediately.
